Employee Benefits Live 2019, which will take place at the ExCeL London on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 October, will play host to speakers on a wide range of topics, including mental health, building an inclusive culture and creating effective benefits communications.
On the subject of diversity and inclusion, Marc McKenna-Coles, global diversity and inclusion manager and wellbeing champion, HR, at Lloyd's and Asif Sadiq, head of diversity, inclusion and belonging at The Telegraph, will present a session titled 'Strategies for ensuring inclusive workplaces and eliminating bullying and harassment'.
This session, which will take place on Wednesday 2 October as part of the diversity and inclusion conference stream, will give delegates the opportunity to learn about Lloyd's employer journey, as well as how to measure the effectiveness of their own strategies.
As part of the same conference stream, David Bell, HR director, Central North West London at the NHS Trust, will speak on the subject, 'Inclusive engagement for a diverse workforce: One size never fits all'. This session will discuss the challenges of improving financial wellbeing among diverse workforces.
Also on Wednesday, the employee wellness conference stream will include a panel discussion titled 'Placing mental health at the very centre of your wellbeing strategy'.
Attendees will hear from Dr Richard Peters, chief medical officer at Network Rail, Emma Mamo, head of workplace wellbeing at Mind, Kate Rand, people and operations director at Beyond, and Susannah Robertson-Hart, occupational psychologist and SSR specialist, health, at the BBC.
The panel will discuss topics such as the changing world of wellbeing, strategic approaches to managing mental health across an organisation and how to maintain momentum with mental wellbeing strategies long-term.
On Tuesday 1 October, a panel discussion within the employee engagement conference stream will discuss effective communication strategies.
Titled 'Communication is a two-way street: Listen, respond, engage', panelists include Alan Millbrow, head of wellbeing and recognition at Three UK, Georgina Reeves-Saad, employee engagement and experience lead, global HR, at The British Council, Julie Markey, people director at Ocado, and Magali Demierre, global head of employee experience at Philip Morris International.
Delegates attending this session will have the chance to hear the panel discuss how to assess employee needs, communicate benefits, and drive engagement and strong business performance.
