Law firm Mills and Reeve has awarded its staff a bonus as a result of its £13 million turnover growth over the 2024/25 financial year.
Each year, the firm’s employees share in any turnover and profit growth through its annual all-staff bonus. As a result of the new high annual turnover of £181 million, this year’s bonus pay pool was £1.4 million, meaning the majority of staff received a bonus of at least £1,000.
Its strong financial results follow another successful year, which included investments in its Birmingham, London and Leeds offices, and in nine lateral hires and 12 internal promotions, strengthening business services to help support its growth, and a refreshed set of values after consulting with more than 750 staff.
It was also ranked in The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work Awards Best Big Organisations, and funded initiatives at its Small Woods partnership, including community woodland projects, tree nursery development and mental health recovery programmes. This reflects its commitment to social wellbeing and aligns with its sustainability goals.
Claire Clarke, managing partner at Mills and Reeve, said: “This is a strong performance in the face of challenging market conditions. We’ve continued to invest in our people, technology and offices to push forward with our ambitious 2030 strategy.
“We’re only a year into our strategy and have already seen strong progress towards our key target areas of putting clients at the heart of our business, being a leader in our sector and markets, driving success through technology and being a leader in people experience.
“While we continue to do business in uncertain times, we have a strong, well-balanced, firm with exciting opportunities across the key sectors and markets we operate in. We remain confident in our strategy, strong culture and passion in delivering for clients.”
