The Very Group, which operates Very and Littlewoods, has been recognised as a menopause-friendly employer by Henpicked.
With over half its 3,000-strong workforce being female, the digital retailer has introduced new resources to support employees going through the menopause.
These include the creation of a menopause awareness guide and an e-learning module.
Its Women at Very (Wave) employee network has helped implement these initiatives, as well as hosting coffee mornings and events to raise awareness, and offering guidance to those who need further support.
Kim Pritchard, head of diversity and inclusion at The Very Group, said: “We want everyone at Very to feel welcomed, represented and valued, especially when they’re going through big life events such as the menopause.
“We’ve worked really hard to make sure those going through the menopause feel supported in the workplace, while also educating those around them on the side-effects and impacts it can have, both in their personal lives and in the workplace. This recognition from Henpicked is a significant milestone in our journey toward building a truly inclusive workplace.”
