Financial services firm Admiral, Coventry Building Society and hotel chain Hilton have been named some of the UK’s best workplaces for women in 2025.

The list, which is created by Great Place To Work UK, uses results from its survey of workplace cultures and people practices. The questions focus on the experiences of women in the workplaces, their representation of at all levels of the workforce, daily experiences of innovation, organisational values, and the effectiveness of leaders.

Admiral was recognised due to its dedicated diversity, equity and inclusion team, gender colleague working group champion, awareness events and internal forums, and menopause policies. The survey highlighted that 95% of employees feel Admiral is a diverse and inclusive employer, 96% feel people are treated fairly regardless of their gender, and 90% feel proud to tell others they work at Admiral and that it is a brand they feel proud to work for.

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, said: “This year’s UK’s Best Workplaces for Women list highlights organisations that are moving beyond good intentions and delivering real, measurable progress. These organisations are dismantling outdated norms, prioritising women’s health, and building clear, supported pathways to leadership. This recognition is driven by what matters most: the voices of women who work there. They’ve said their workplace is one where they’re respected, empowered, and able to succeed.”

Kirsty Bowen, head of colleague experience at Coventry Building Society, added: “Creating an environment where women feel supported and valued at every stage of their career and life is something we work towards every day. From menopause and fertility support, to our active women’s network and society-wide events celebrating International Women’s Day, we’re always looking for ways to listen, help and empower. This recognition is a reflection of the culture our people have built together.”

Lorna Connelly, people director at Admiral, said: “I’m so proud of this recognition for our continued efforts in supporting all women in the workplace, as part of our broader commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion for all. Being a Great Place to Work and a place where everyone can be themselves is so important to us, and it’s all thanks to everyone’s efforts to make Admiral a place Where You Can Be You, regardless of gender. We want to make sure every voice is heard and respected, and we’ll continue to look at ways in which we can improve for our people.”
