Something for the weekend: Myth and legend gift shop The Lincoln Imporium has begun its search for an imp catcher, to bring the spirit of the Lincoln imp to life through one-of-a-kind creations.

The craft and design specialist will join the team at the Steep Hill, Lincoln shop to help capture imps and channel their mischievous energy into works of art. They should be experienced in resin moulding and casting, and have a passion for handcrafted creations, using their skills to craft, design and produce high-quality imps and limited-edition collections.

Successful candidates should have a keen eye for intricate details, a flair for storytelling, and an irresistible sense of fun, along with a passion for mythical artistry.

The job is more than 20 hours per week, with the potential for full-time work as the retailer aims to grow its operations. The pay is competitive and dependent on experience. Anyone interested in the role should apply via the Lincoln Imporium website and email over their CV and portfolio.

The advert notes that this is not a training role and applicants must have proven experience in moulding and casting techniques.

The search for an imp catcher is part of the Lincoln Imporium’s mission to keep local legends alive in a playful way.

Thomas Atkins, imp keeper at The Lincoln Imporium, said: “This isn’t just a job, it’s an adventure! The Lincoln Imp is a beloved part of our folklore, and we need someone to keep his mischievous spirit alive, helping us to locate, capture and craft some of the rarest Imps we can find. If you’re brave enough to take on the challenge, we want to hear from you.”

This sounds like a magical and exciting job to us at Employee Benefits. Happy imp catching!
