Law firm Harneys has appointed Richard Reid as its new chief people officer effective 1 April.
Since joining Harneys in 2022 as head of wellbeing, Reid has been behind some of the firm’s human resources initiatives such as revamping its employee assistance programme to pioneering its mental health buddies scheme. He has also coordinated a regular schedule of wellbeing webinars for employees on topics such as men’s health, menopause, parenting, nutrition and mindfulness.
Before joining Harneys, Reid held various senior roles in the field of wellbeing and professional development, including working as a psychological consultant, psychotherapist and leadership coach to chief executive officers, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals.
William Peake, global managing partner at Harneys, said: “I would like to congratulate Richard on his well-deserved appointment. Richard’s considerable experience in professional development and employee wellbeing strengthens and aligns with our ethos that our people are the heart of Harneys. I am confident he will excel in their new roles. Harneys continues to invest in the growth and development of its people, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to nurturing leadership from within.”
