Facilities management firm Emcor UK and pooling solutions business Brambles have been shortlisted for Best use of benefits technology at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023.
This award, which is sponsored by Zest, was created to recognise how an employer has best utilised and adapted technology to suit its benefits package, its business aims and the needs of its employees. The judges looked at how technology had been customised to suit an organisation and its workforce, rather than its cost and scale.
The full category shortlist is:
- Barchester Healthcare
- BNY Mellon
- Brambles
- Emcor UK
- Snowflake
- South Pole
- Travers Smith
Last year’s ceremony saw Prezzo scoop the accolade due to its benefits strategy that is centred around technology and communication. To ensure ease of use for employees, the organisation created a single platform, branded ‘Tutto’, which means everything in Italian, which incorporates its internal communications channel, employee directory, employee self-service, its wellbeing initiatives and employee reward, among others. Prezzo also integrated its Wagestream platform into Tutto.
A Prezzo spokesperson said: “[We have] a combination of departments working together to make sure that our teams want to stay and work at Prezzo. Covid-19 has made us look at how we do benefits differently, so the use of technology has been absolutely key. We work within 148 different locations so technology is key to make sure that communication is clear from the top down, bottom up.”
The Employee Benefits Awards, now in its 21st year, recognises those driving excellence through their reward and benefits strategies.
The daytime event, which will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 23 June, will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after party will feature live music and the opportunity to connect with colleagues and peers in the venue’s private grounds.
