Ben West, mental health campaigner, author, strategic advisor and social media influencer, will be a keynote speaker at Employee Benefits Live 2025 on 2 October 2025.
Following the loss of his younger brother to suicide, West has become a voice for mental health advocacy, aiming to make change on a national scale to improve access to education and support, and petitioning to make mental health first aid compulsory training for teachers.
He has written a bestselling book, This Book Could Save Your Life, presented across BBC One’s Morning Live and Sunday Morning Live, and hosted a range of films for BBC One, including a special three-part series for Health Awareness Week in May 2024. He was the focus of an episode for Snapchat series I Want To Get Better, and has appeared on other TV shows and podcasts.
West works closely with brands to develop meaningful and creative content, and sustainable wellbeing strategies, while also advising on mental health leadership at board level. He has written for a number of publications and was featured in The Times and Sunday Times Magazine, and Men’s Health Mental Health Awareness Month special.
He is also an accredited mental health first aid instructor, strategic advisor to one of the UK’s largest NHS mental health trusts, and a crisis support volunteer with national mental health textline Shout.
Employee Benefits Live 2025, Europe’s largest reward and benefits event, will take place on 1-2 October at ExCeL London. The event is free to attend and is open to directors, senior managers and in-house professionals responsible for HR, reward, benefits, compensation, employee engagement, motivation and pensions, who want to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
The two-day editorial-driven conference programme and exhibition provide an opportunity for professionals to network, share ideas and best practice, benchmark suppliers, and source the most effective products and services for their organisation.
