Insurtech firm Send Technology Solutions has appointed Will Sparkes to be its new chief people officer as part of its aim to build on its employee-focused approach.
In the role, Sparkes will focus on building Send’s talent strategy, ensuring its international, remote team has the right support structures and performance frameworks in place to sustain growth.
He has experience in being a people and culture leader, scaling high-performing teams within technology businesses, and empowering individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive. His previous roles include HR positions at FTSE and Fortune-500 firms, such as Informa and Metlife, as well as several technology start-ups and unicorns undergoing fundraising and international expansion.
Sparkes said: “Everyone at Send is deeply committed to its mission to revolutionise commercial underwriting. That mindset has created a vibrant, engaged team, a strong foundation we can build on to help people grow and thrive. I’m really excited to join Send at this exciting time in its journey, and look forward to using my prior experience to further sharpen our focus on talent development.”
Andy Moss, co-founder and chief executive officer at Send, added: “The collaborative, supportive culture we’ve built has been fundamental to our success, and it will always be at our core. We’re now focused on enhancing that foundation with structured development pathways and performance frameworks that give every team member a clear vision for their future with us. Will’s years of experience in HR and first-hand experience of working with scale-up businesses like ours make him the perfect choice to support our people as we continue to grow internationally.”
