XPS Pensions Group accredited as menopause-friendly employer

XPS Pensions Group menopausePension consulting and administration business XPS Pensions Group has been awarded menopause-friendly accreditation ahead of World Menopause Day (18 October).

Established by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, the accreditation recognises high standards and proven practices that embrace menopause in the workplace. Employers are assessed by an independent panel and must demonstrate evidence of effectiveness in the areas of culture, policies and practices, training, engagement, facilities and evaluation.

XPS Pensions Group, which employs 1,600 staff across 16 UK locations, received accreditation due to the commitment it showed to being menopause-friendly and supporting all its employees to feel included and enabled. Its efforts to normalise the conversation around the menopause, establish support groups and its training rollout for all line managers across its teams were also highlighted during the assessment process.

Ben Bramhall, co-chief executive officer at XPS Pensions Group, said: “We are delighted to have achieved accreditation as a menopause friendly employer. Inclusion is a key priority for XPS and our commitment to supporting employees experiencing menopause symptoms is one example of the steps we’re taking to ensure everyone at XPS feels included and enabled.”

Deborah Garlick, founder of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, added: “I would like to congratulate XPS and particularly welcome their focus on normalising the conversation as we know the best outcomes start with an open discussion. XPS has also shown that by treating people with empathy, listening to their needs and putting action plans in place around this makes such a huge difference to making an organisation truly menopause friendly.”

XPS Pensions Group offers its employees a pension scheme, life assurance, a discretionary bonus scheme, season ticket loans, sight tests, an employee assistance programme, hybrid working, an annual flex allowance, a save-as-you-earn (SAYE) scheme, a flexible benefits scheme that includes bikes-for-work, private health care, travel insurance and dental insurance, and access to a range of retailer discounts.
