University of Lincoln was presented with the highly sought-after Grand Prix award at the Employee Benefits Awards 2021.
The Grand Prix is the 'winner of winners' accolade, selected from the winning entries across all other categories. It is given to the organisation that most impressed judges with its overall achievements.
University of Lincoln's winning entry, which was submitted in the Best DC Pensions Strategy category, secured its victory at the 19th Employee Benefits Awards. Judges said it had a well thought-out project from beginning to end, with very positive outcomes for the individual and the organisation, as well as having a clear strategic vision and approach. They thought it had an excellent strategy to control costs and to save jobs in the face of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, with solid evidence of innovation while also increasing engagement.
The university also scooped the award for HR or Benefits Team of the Year, sponsored by Personnel Today, for having a strong HR and business strategy that included savings in HR resource through innovation, evidence of high levels of engagement with wellbeing initiatives and reductions in processing time for pensions.
Rachel Murray, reward manager at Wood Group UK, received the coveted Employee Benefits Professional of the Year award for her unfailing attitude as an inspiration to her colleagues and wider HR community.
Congratulations to all of the winners, highly commended entries, and finalists for the awards this year, all of which represented the most exciting and innovative HR reward and benefits strategies, supportive teams and outstanding individuals in the field of reward and benefits during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Held in partnership with Aon, hundreds of HR, benefits and reward professionals attended the Employee Benefits Awards on Friday 12 November 2021 at Old Billingsgate in London, which returned to an in-person event after last year’s ceremony was held virtually.
Employee Benefits would like to thank our event sponsors, esteemed judging panel, and all of the organisations that entered the awards. Keep an eye out on the Employee Benefits website for more details about the winning entries and photo highlights from the event.
