Something for the weekend: Supermarket Aldi has begun searching for a savoury snacker to take on the role of an official crisp taster. If this sounds like you, then read on!
The employer has launched applications for the UK’s most spud-tacular job and is looking for one lucky snack connoisseur to take on the role of becoming its official crisp taster.
The job description states that the crisp taster will try a selection of Aldi’s current and brand-new crisp flavours for free. They will be required to share their thoughts on the ones that get their official crisp taster seal of approval, which will in turn help decide on the products to have in its range.
A total of 10 winners will be randomly selected by a number computer generator and contacted by email to enter the prize draw. They will each receive one individual limited edition The Mighty Trio bottle, one bottle of Bramwells Tomato Ketchup, one bottle of Bramwells Squeezy Real Mayonnaise, and one bottle of Bramwells American Style Mustard.
An Aldi spokesperson said: “All that’s required is a short application video telling us your name, age and where you’re from, along with your favourite Aldi crisps, why you should be the crisp taster and what your social media handles are, if any. About a minute will do. We love enthusiasm, so be sure to share plenty of it!”
Wannabe crisp tasters should email their video to CrispTaster@aldi.co.uk with the subject line Aldi Crisp Taster. If applicants have not heard back by 28 August, they have not been successful.
The lucky winner needs to be available to taste the crisps at home between Monday 25 August to Friday 5 September.
