Sonas Hotel Collection, which consists of three boutique hotels on the Isle of Skye, has appointed Joeseph Carroll (pictured) as its first head of people.
The role, which will include overseeing the HR requirements and people development across Sonas Hotel’s properties Duisdale House Hotel, Toravaig House Hotel and Skeabost House Hotel, aims to strengthen the business’ investment into staff training, development, recruitment and retention.
Carroll has spent his 13-year career at UK hotels and restaurants, including Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, Yotel and Cote Restaurants.
Carroll said: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the Sonas Hotel’s team in this new role and especially at such an exciting time for the brand. I’m passionate about people and supporting businesses in the hospitality industry, and I’m looking forward to applying my experience with luxury and boutique hotels, their offerings, and most importantly, their people with the Sonas team.”
Andreas Maszczyk, group general manager for the Sonas Hotel Collection, added: “It’s going to be an exciting year for the Sonas brand with significant growth plans due to be announced in early 2023. As such, we are focusing even more investment on expanding our dynamic team and supporting training and development within the business. This is a new role for the business, and we look forward to Joeseph coming on board and helping us further grow the Sonas culture of putting our people first.”
