Software company Quantilope has allowed all its employees worldwide to take unlimited paid leave.
The business, which was founded in Germany in 2014 and currently employs more than 200 members of staff across its home country, the UK, the US and Lithuania, said all full and part-time staff could take as much paid time off as they like from this month on.
Quantilope said the policy was based on its global corporate values of commitment, openness, "doer" and empowerment, and would strengthen flexibility over working hours and a trust-based corporate culture.
The firm said it had been focusing on flexible working hours, a high degree of personal responsibility in scheduling and trust between employer and employee since its formation. It said that adding an unlimited amount of time off to its existing leave policies in all countries was simply going one step further.
The organisation, which regularly receives very high employee satisfaction ratings and good scores for corporate culture and development potential, already offers a wide range of training and learning sessions that are voluntary and free of charge. These focus on enhancing mental health and work-life balance, and workers are able to continuously contribute ideas, further suggestions and feedback.
Dr Peter Aschmoneit, chief executive and co-founder of Quantilope, said that the business hired more than 100 employees in 2021 and is planning numerous additional positions in Europe and the US in 2022 as part of its expansion strategy.
“We are convinced that our teams can achieve the best results when living personal work-life balance and feeling happy at work," he said. "With our Insights Automation platform, we are thought leaders for innovative, cutting-edge insights technology."
Aschmoneit added: “As an employer, we equally consider that as a pioneer for a new, modern working world, sustainability fosters productivity, health and employee satisfaction at the same time.”
