Employers JCDecaux and the British Film institute (BFI) have introduced a new home-heating benefit scheme for their employees.
Provided by Heat Scheme, the benefit programme helps employees reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint.
JCDecaux, the advertising firm, and the BFI can provide interest-free loans to their employees to help with the cost of switching to clean energy options at home such as green retrofits and the installation of heat pumps.
Their employees will also have access to one-to-one consultations for heating efficiency.
Michael McGuire, payroll and benefits partner at JCDecaux, said: “We are continually looking to improve the wellbeing of our staff, which extends to aiding their welfare at home.
“With the significant rise in the average home energy bills, the Heat Scheme benefit scheme will support our staff with reducing their heating bills and increasing comfort at home, while also raising awareness about ongoing emissions and practical steps we can individually take to reduce those emissions.”
Keir Powell-Lewis, head of environmental sustainability at BFI, said: “At BFI we take sustainability seriously and we are continually striving to reduce emissions, from wherever they originate. Working with Heat Scheme supports our staff with reducing their emissions at home as well as their heating bills.”
