Employee Benefits Live 2021 is back and for the first time since 2019 will be welcoming delegates in-person to this key industry event, taking place at ExCeL London on 6-7 October 2021.
This exciting and stimulating two-day conference and exhibition, which is the largest dedicated reward and benefits event in Europe, will see more than 1,500 industry professionals explore the latest product and service innovations and stay at the forefront of HR, reward and benefits developments by attending the in-depth conference programme.
The first day begins with a fascinating keynote address by Edleen John, director of international corporate affairs and equality, diversity and inclusion, The Football Association (FA). Titled 'Designing employee benfits to drive diversity and inclusion', John will explain how benefits and rewards can drive this vital agenda and how to change company culture to support these values.
Other day one speakers will include Nick Davison, head of wellbeing, John Lewis, who will present a How To Session titled 'Tools to transform employee wellbeing' and Rachel Leyland senior HR business partner, Sir Robert McAlpine, who, in a speech titled 'Winning the war for talent: How innovative rewards and benefits are a must' will consider how to raise the visibility and awareness of employee recognition and benefits.
The first day's closing keynote, titled 'Adapting rewards and benfits on a global scale', delivered by Neal Blackshire, director, global rewards, McDonald's, will look at how to manage benefits and awards in a globally decentralised organisation and provide insights into the future for reward strategy.
Day two will be just as stimulating, with Dr Alex George, accident and emergency and TV doctor and UK government youth mental health ambassador, delivering the opening keynote about mental health. in conversation with Employee Benefits' interim editor Kavitha Sivasubramaniam. The session, titled ‘A state of mind: Making mental health a positive workplace issue’ will focus on identifying opportunities to support employees’ mental health, communicating positive messages and removing stigma, and tailoring support to different demographics.
Financial wellbeing will also be under the spotlight with Natalie Jutla, employee value proposition and employee benefits lead for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), leading a session titled ‘Developing effective financial wellbeing schemes’ focusing on the importance of financial capability in the workplace and the financial impact of these challenging times on the workforce.
The closing keynote speech on the second day, presented by Joeli Brearley, founder of charity and campaign group Pregnant Then Screwed, is a powerful exploration of how having children can impact the careers of working mothers. Titled ‘What employers need to know about the motherhood penalty’, the presentation will explore the challenges faced by working mothers, why employers need to better understand the motherhood penalty and practical take-aways for organisations to consider.
During the event, attendees will also be able to network with colleagues, peers, industry experts and providers, either across the exhibition floor, during conference sessions or in the exclusive VIP lounge, which registered delegates will be able to access over the course of the two days.
