The Wilful Group reviews its healthcare strategy annually to ensure it keeps up with evolving employee needs.
The global communications agency, headquartered in Marylebone, London, operates across the fast-moving consumer goods and lifestyle, finance and infrastructure, talent and education, and digital and technology sectors. Its UK team includes 18 permanent employees, supported by an African team in Nairobi and communications partners across some global regions.
The agency is committed to supporting employees’ wellbeing through a comprehensive private medical insurance package. This is available to all staff upon the completion of their probationary period. The coverage includes a range of medical services, including oral health and dental care, which ensures the group’s workforce can maintain their overall health with peace of mind. It also offers counselling services and long-term healthcare, including cancer care and related support.
Sara Amin, HR and operations lead at The Wilful Group, says: “Recognising the importance of proactive care, we also provide financial support for regular eye tests, helping to prevent and address potential vision issues early. Our approach reflects a genuine commitment to fostering a healthy, supported and thriving team, while our ethos of ‘Wilful by Name. Wilful by Nature’ encapsulates our commitment to positively impacting people and the planet.”
The Wilful Group aims to offer healthcare support that meets its employees’ needs by providing assistance that aligns with staff requirements. Every six months, it conducts anonymous employee engagement surveys to gather valuable feedback on its workforce’s healthcare priorities. Its leadership team then uses the insights to review and update its healthcare benefits to ensure they remain relevant, responsive and valuable to employees’ wellbeing.
“We review our healthcare strategy on an annual basis, guided by insights from our biannual employee engagement surveys,” says Amin. “This process allows us to stay aligned with changing employee expectations and ensure our healthcare offerings continue to meet their needs effectively.”
