Listen: Myerson Solicitors has placed benefits in a key role in its overall employee proposition, both in terms of being an important tool to attract and retain key talent, and in taking a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. In this episode of the Employee Benefits podcast, Jordanna Reynolds, people director and head of people and culture, explains how the firm’s benefits package, and especially its Bee Well initiative, is designed to support all aspects of an employee’s life including financial, mental and physical wellbeing, as well as work-life balance and career development.

Reynolds discusses the benefits of being an employee-owned firm and how this has impacted its benefits and culture, especially influencing teamwork and culture. This can be seen in the changes it has made to its benefits package, through schemes such as enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay and leave, and paid time off for employees going through IVF treatment.

Career history

Jordanna Reynolds joined Myerson Solicitors in 2016, starting in a standalone HR manager role and growing this into a team of four people professionals. “I was proud to be promoted to the Board in 2024,” Reynolds says. Prior to joining Myerson, she worked for a multi-site property and building consultancy based across the UK, with responsibility for all aspects of HR.

”My favourite benefits are the thoughtful, unexpected ones: the small gestures that show genuine care, beyond the more conventional benefits,” says Reynolds.

On her achievements throughout her career so far, Reynolds notes some of the changes she has helped to put in place at Myerson. ”I am extremely proud of the culture that we have built and retained at Myerson, despite the continued growth of the firm,” she says. ”I was also proud to help support the firm in our transition to employee ownership and of the various awards that we have received around our people initiatives.”

These awards include a three-star Best Companies accreditation, Best Workplace Wellbeing award at the Private Client Modern Law Awards 2025, and Health and Wellbeing Champions of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards 2023.
