Hotel chain Hilton and global solutions integrator Insight Enterprises have been named as two of the world’s best workplaces in 2023 by Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work.
To determine the world’s best workplaces and offer certification status, each year Great Place to Work uses feedback from surveys and data about culture, workforce and employee experience.
To qualify for Fortune’s world’s best workplaces list, employers must appear on at least five of Great Place to Work's Best Workplaces lists in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa, North America or Australia, with at least 40%, or 5,000, of employees located outside of the country it is headquartered in.
Hilton ranked top of the list and was the number one workplace in Argentina, Austria, China, Dominican Republic, France, India, Italy, Peru, Portugal, Switzerland and Uruguay. It received recognition due to its focus on creating an inclusive workplace, growth opportunities and support for its 460,000 team members around the world. Its benefits to both hourly and salaried workers include expanded parental leave, adoption assistance and its Go Hilton travel programme.
Meanwhile, Insight Enterprises was ranked 20th on the list as a result of its commitment to creating inclusive and positive work environments, and its consideration of the breadth and impact of its workplace programmes.
