Coventry Building Society, Admiral and Blackstone have been named as some of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance.
Established by Great Place To Work, the UK’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance list is compiled based on employee responses to 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organisation creates a great place to work for its workforce.
The evaluation is based on employees’ daily experiences of trust, reaching their full potential as part of their organisation, innovation, organisational values, and leader effectiveness, to ensure a consistent experience across departments and seniority levels. Great Place to Work then analysed these experiences relative to each organisation’s size, workforce makeup, and their industry peers.
Coventry Building Society, which has made the list for the third year running, earned the achievement based on its employee feedback, with staff rating work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security highly.
Lucy Becque, group chief people officer at Coventry Building Society, said: “It’s great to hear that we’re one of the UK’s best workplaces for financial services for the third year running. It’s a real testament to the culture we’ve built and the commitment we’ve made to creating an environment where people can thrive.
“This year we’ve also been recognised as one of the best places for wellbeing, for women and for development, so it really feels like we’ve been collecting awards that reflect what matters to us. We want this to be a place where people feel supported, inspired and proud to be part of the team, that’s exactly what we work hard to create every day.”
A Great Place To Work spokesperson said: “We start by identifying the companies from our pool of Great Place To Work certified organisations that have selected financial services and insurance as the primary industry in their culture brief. We then assess responses using our methodology, where 85% is concerned with trust and maximising human potential and the remaining 15% on leadership effectiveness, innovation by all and values. Finally, the top employers within each combined size category are recognised as best workplaces in financial services and insurance.”
