UK pub organisation and brewer Greene King has introduced a new cloud-based HR and payroll platform to streamline processes, enable faster decision making and enhance employee experience.
Through a partnership with Workday, the platform has been designed to provide a user-friendly experience for the employer’s staff members, allowing them to easily access their information and digitalise processes such as booking time off and viewing payslips.
The platform will also help to streamline processes for line managers in its pubs and offices, by providing easy to understand reports and analytics. This will enable them to make faster decisions and maximise their time so they spend less time on administration tasks and can focus on delivering a better experience.
It will additionally ensure that the organisation is fit for the future and able to adapt quickly to upcoming employment law changes, as well as providing a consistent onboarding process for any new team members joining.
The employer is investing £10 million into the platform over the next five years, which will be rolled out to its 40,000 employees throughout the months of April and May.
Andrew Bush, chief experience officer at Greene King, said: “We want Greene King to continue to be a great place to work and our £10 million investment in the Workday system will make navigating some of our HR systems much easier for our teams, helping them to be more efficient so they can help to deliver a brilliant experience for our customers.
“It is a strategic investment that will help us continue to build more people-focused services for our teams. This has been a project that has taken two years of partnership and collaboration with Workday to deliver a platform that fulfils the needs of the business and most importantly, works for our people.”
