Idox, a provider of software services to governments and industries, has introduced a home heating benefit for its employees.
The benefit, which is provided by Heat Scheme, can help staff to reduce their household energy costs, bills and carbon emissions through practical, employer-backed support to boost wellbeing.
Through the scheme, employees can access interest-free loans of between £2,000 and £5,000, or a combination of a loan and a grant, to help with the cost of switching to clean energy options at home, which include green retrofits and the installation of heat pumps.
Staff will also have access to one-to-one consultations for personalised guidance for their homes, heating efficiency and home improvement work.
Idox joins other employers which offer the benefit via Heat Scheme, including BBC Studios, Next, Amey, Sainsbury’s, Capgemini, Royal London, Havas, Natural Resources Wales, NHS Professionals, Clear Bank, Schroders and UK Power Networks.
Ian Barstow, implementation consultant at Idox Group, said: “Employers are increasingly focused on the cost-of-living pressures facing their people at home. Heat Scheme is a strong addition to our benefits offering. It provides meaningful, at-home support that helps our people better manage energy costs while improving comfort and wellbeing.”
Idox also offers its staff support through mental health first aiders, a workplace wellbeing team and employee networks. It also has flexible working, 24/7 confidential help through its employee assistance programme, parental leave and pay, bereavement support, a share scheme, income protection, life assurance of up to four-times salary, and a pension scheme via salary sacrifice.
