The BBC has appointed Jermaine Daw director of HR for BBC Studios as of next month.

With more than 20 years of international experience in the sports, media, entertainment and FMCG industries, Daw will join the BBC Studios executive committee and report to chief people officer Uzair Qadeer.

He spent more than a decade at the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he led the strategic and operational delivery of organisational design, talent acquisition and management, change management, employee experience, and benefits and reward for all of its business units outside of the US.

Most recently, Daw was vice president and chief people officer of Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) at beauty business Wella. He has also worked for HBO and EssilorLuxottica.
