Semiconductor and software design firm Arm has recruited Charlotte Eaton as its new chief people officer, with immediate effect.
Reporting to Rene Haas, chief executive officer of Arm, Eaton will use her experience heading up people teams in progressive, inclusive and purpose-led organisations across multiple sectors, to lead its global people organisation.
As part of planned succession, she will replace current chief people officer Kirsty Gill, who will remain in an advisory role and assist in the transition through November before retiring.
Eaton is rejoining Arm after holding the role of vice president of people, where she supported teams in its intellectual property group, from 2017 until 2020.
Most recently, she has served as chief people officer at Ovo, with her responsibilities including oversight of all aspects of the people agenda, such as operations, partnering, leadership and development, reward and engagement, as well as leading the customer experience and workplace teams. Prior to this, she held HR leadership roles at The Heinz Company and Barclays.
Eaton said: “Arm’s commitment to pushing boundaries and driving innovation has been propelled by a progressive culture built around trust, transparency, inclusion and collaboration. I’m honored to rejoin Arm during a time of great opportunity, and I look forward to continuing to define an environment where people are empowered to do the best work of their careers.”
Rene Haas, chief executive officer of Arm, added: “Putting our people at the center of our mission has enabled Arm to deliver more than three decades of transformational technology. Charlotte brings a wealth of experience in leading diverse and engaged teams, and under her leadership we will be further inspired to excel as we build the future of computing on Arm.”
