ISS UK and Ireland has appointed Rebecca Jeffs chief people officer, effective this week.

Jeffs succeeds Sandy Lucas, director of people and culture, who will remain with the organisation until the end of February. They will work together to ensure an orderly transition of responsibilities. Jeffs will work to underpin the delivery of ISS UK and Ireland’s ongoing, comprehensive transformation.

Since joining the organisation in July 2023, she has helped to advance its transformation programme and lead other strategic initiatives that underpin its objectives for 2025 and beyond.

As a global HR, people and culture leader with 25 years’ experience across three continents and multiple industries, Jeffs has experience driving global culture shift, HR transformation, building diverse leadership talent pipelines, and enhancing the employee experience to create culture where everyone can thrive and deliver business, growth and social sustainability results.

Jeffs said: “I am thrilled to take on this challenging role, working alongside such a talented and committed ISS team. It is not often one has the opportunity to assume responsibility for a programme of transformational initiatives with such breadth and vision. I look forward to leading the people and culture function as we come together as a business to achieve our shared objectives.”

Scott Davies, chief executive officer of ISS UK and Ireland, added: “It is testament to our continued efforts to enrich our people and culture leadership team and strengthen our succession pipeline that we have been able to promote a candidate of Rebecca’s calibre and experience from within. I know that, in Rebecca, we have found the right candidate to drive our ongoing transformation and achieve our ambition to become an employer of choice in the UK and Ireland.”
