NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board has appointed Sandra Grant chief people officer.

Grant, who has been working with the board as interim deputy chief people officer, will replace Caroline Corrigan, who has been seconded for the past year.

She is an experienced chief people officer and has worked at board and executive levels within NHS Trusts, integrated care boards and at NHSE England South East. Grant has also led system programmes within Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Frimley and Surrey.

Grant said: “I am delighted to be joining the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board as its new chief people officer. I recognise the dedication and hard work of our internal teams, and I am committed to fostering an environment where every member feels supported and valued, so that they can successfully deliver the aims and objectives of the organisation.

“Addressing the broader workforce challenges within the NHS is a priority. We must focus on innovative recruitment strategies, continuous professional development, and enhancing workplace wellbeing. Together, we can build a resilient and motivated workforce ready to meet the evolving needs of our communities.”

Dr Nick Broughton, chief executive of the board, added: “Sandra brings a wealth of experience, expertise and understanding of the internal support our organisation needs to thrive. Her passion for people and extensive experience in the NHS at both local and national levels make her a great addition to the executive team. She will also work closely with our partners across the integrated care system to help build a strong, motivated, sustainable and adaptable workforce that can deliver the highest quality care to our patients and the populations we serve.”
