Nottingham Building Society has appointed Lisa Winnard chief people officer, as well as a member of the executive committee.

The appointment recognises Winnard’s contribution since joining the organisation in 2023, most recently in the role of HR director.

So far at the organisation, she has advanced the people and development team, and promoted an environment where employees feel encouraged to reach their potential. Her position on the executive committee is intended to strengthen the society’s commitment to a supportive, inclusive workplace where staff feel valued.

Winnard has more than two decades of experience, with previous roles at JLA Group and Sesame Bankhall Group.

She has also won The Financial Times’‘Champion for Gender Diversity award in 2019 and HR Director of the Year at the 2013 HR Directors Distinction Awards.
