Understanding Recruitment, a St Albans-based technology, software and digital recruiter, has revealed that it will take its employees on an all-inclusive holiday to Palma, Mallorca, following strong yearly performance and to celebrate its 15th birthday.
The firm, which has more than 100 members of staff across Britain and Massachusetts, has organised a three-day fiesta at a four-star hotel, with activities including a Catamaran cruise, water sports activities, a paella cooking competition, and dinner at Palma’s renowned Yacht Club.
According to co-founding directors Chris Jackson and Dale Swords, the business surpassed many financial milestones over the past year, including growing its workforce in the UK and US. They decided to recognise this by offering the St Albans team a break in the sunshine.
Jackson said: “2020 was undeniably tough on the industry and our employees. The collective reaction we witnessed across the whole business was outstanding. We’ve bounced back to be in an incredible position to expand even more as an organisation and I couldn’t be prouder of every single member of the team. This trip is to say a huge thank you to everyone for their exceptional performance and give them well-earned relaxation time in a beautiful setting.”
Swords added: “Our team are hugely committed to their work and doing a brilliant job for their customers as well as being hugely supportive to each other, something I’m hugely proud of. We take our responsibility as their employer incredibly seriously and alongside their loyalty and effort, we’re continuously looking to support and improve their welfare and mental health. Ultimately, we want them to be as happy as they can be within their role and in life.”
Here at Employee Benefits, we think recognising and rewarding employees is a great idea, and hope the Understanding Recruitment staff enjoy their well-deserved fun in the sun!
