Parfetts profit share bonus

Wholesaler Parfetts has awarded its employees a 10% profit share bonus as part of its recognition of their contribution to its continued growth.

Parfetts operates depots in Aintree, Anfield, Birmingham, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Sommercoates and Stockport, with operations covering England, North Wales and the Midlands.

The wholesaler was able to award this bonus due to its like-for-like sales increasing by 4.7% on £605 million in the previous financial year, while sales topped £634 million over the last year.

Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, said: “Our people are at the heart of everything we do. It is their hard work that is driving the business forward and supporting retailers across the UK. The year ahead will continue to provide a challenging environment for retailers, and we are increasing our efforts to support their margins and give them the service they need to operate efficiently and effectively.”

Noel Robinson, joint managing director of Parfetts, added: “All of our dedicated colleagues deserve praise for the outstanding service they provide all year round. As an employee-owned organisation, we can ensure the success of the business is shared, and hard work is rewarded.”

The benefits Parfetts offers its employees include death in service paid at four-times salary for all staff, a health cash plan, an employee assistance programme that is also open to family members, employer-funded financial wellbeing planning, including access to independent financial advisors, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, 30 days of holiday per year, with one day extra after five years' service, and up to two hours paid to attend any appointments.
