Transportation service firm CMAC Group has been accredited as a real living wage employer as part of its commitment to fair pay, wellbeing and long-term career sustainability for its UK workforce.

The accreditation means that every employee working for CMAC is guaranteed to receive at least the real living wage, which is a rate based on the actual cost of living and calculated by the Living Wage Foundation. For those across the UK, the rate is £13.45 per hour, and for those in London, it is £14.80 per hour.

This change will impact 107 roles across the group and help to provide greater financial security and stability for its employees.

By becoming an accredited employer, CMAC has voluntarily chosen to go beyond the statutory minimum pay. This is its demonstration of responsible employment practices and a positive contribution to its local communities and economies.

The accreditation also supports CMAC’s continued growth, as it is currently recruiting for someone to fill the role of dispute resolution executive. This person will benefit directly from its commitment to paying the real living wage.

Hannah Bermudez, director of people at CMAC Group, said: “We’re proud to have received formal accreditation as a real living wage employer. This recognition reflects CMAC Group’s commitment to doing right by our people and ensuring they feel valued and supported. CMAC’s focus is on strengthening its people strategy, supporting employee wellbeing and attracting and retaining talent across the group.

“Paying the real living wage provides greater financial security, supports wellbeing and gives our teams confidence as they plan for the future. This accreditation reinforces the kind of employer we are, one that invests in its people and creates the foundations for long-term, rewarding careers.”
