Food business Kraft Heinz has received great workplace certification in 16 of its operating countries due to the way it values and treats its employees.

The certification was set up by global authority on workplace culture Great Place to Work, and is based on its Trust Index survey, which assesses employee satisfaction in the areas of credibility, respect, fairness and camaraderie.

Kraft Heinz, which has 18,000 employees working across its international zone, received certification in the UK, Chile, Indonesia, China, Spain, France, Thailand, Egypt, Japan, Australia, UAE, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Netherlands and Korea.

Its German operations achieved a score of 91% in the Trust Index survey, the highest out of all its operating countries. Findings revealed that 81% of Kraft Heinz employees around the world are proud to tell others where they work, 89% feel they are treated fairly regardless of their race, and 88% believe they are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation.

Eight in 10 (82%) were made to feel welcome when they joined, 80% feel a sense of pride when they look back at what they have accomplished, and 72% agree that Kraft Heinz is a great place to work.

Rodolfo Camacho, chief people officer for Kraft Heinz International, said: “At the heart of our organisation’s transformation is our unique culture, and to see our team’s hard work and dedication to people pay off, is a proud moment for all of us here at Kraft Heinz.

“We know we need to grow our people to grow our business, which is why we take big bets on people, encouraging them to operate as owners, with the runway to succeed at the pace of their own ambition. It’s also how we deliver against our purpose to ‘Make Life Delicious’, which in this context, means championing great people and nurturing meaningful careers.”

Rafa Oliveira, president of Kraft Heinz International, added: “Our focus for 2024 will be applying everything we’ve learned though this year’s survey to make Kraft Heinz an even greater place to work.”
