The Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production and Transportation list is created using anonymous feedback from employees about their workplace experience. A total of 85% of the evaluation is based on employees’ experiences of trust and reaching their full potential as part of their organisation, while the remaining 15% is based on an assessment of daily experiences of innovation, the employer’s values and the effectiveness of leaders, to ensure a consistent employee experience across departments and seniority levels.

Logistics and specialised relocation firm John Mason was recognised due to its supportive environment for staff and how it helps employees with personal development.

The majority (90%) of employees ranked it as a great place to work, compared to a 54% average across the sector. A total of 79% reported that its focus on development and growth makes it a great place to work, compared to a 57% benchmark in the wider transportation sector.

The firm’s benefits include profit-sharing schemes and flexible work patterns, aiming to promote a supportive environment and healthy work-life balance to boost overall job satisfaction.

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place To Work UK, said: “It’s great to see so many examples on our new UK’s Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production and Transportation list of organisations making their workplaces truly great.
