AIB, a leading financial services group predominantly based in the Republic of Ireland, has partnered with Gympass, the UK’s largest corporate wellness platform, to bring its 9,500-strong workforce ‘anytime, anywhere’ access to wellness solutions.
The Gympass partnership gives AIB employees access to over 2,000 fitness facilities, alongside a wealth of physical, financial and mental wellness apps, live classes, bespoke programming and virtual one-to-one personal trainer sessions.
Geraldine Casey, Chief People Officer, AIB said: “The mental health and wellbeing of our people is of vital importance and we have been doing everything we can over the past number of months to further support them through the Covid-19 situation. With over 7,000 of our people working from home, and branch staff across the country working in different locations, partnering with Gympass has allowed our staff to come together virtually and help them keep fit both mentally and physically.”
With over 300 locations across Ireland and the UK, the AIB workforce is geographically diverse and skilfully delivers a comprehensive range of services to retail, business and corporate customers. AIB holds market-leading positions in key segments in the Republic of Ireland using the AIB, EBS and Haven brands. Its purpose, as a financial institution, is to back its customers to achieve their dreams and ambitions. This high level of support and encouragement also extends to its workforce whose health and wellbeing are prioritised.
“We are very pleased to be working with AIB and delighted to be building our presence in the Republic of Ireland with this partnership,” says Luke Bullen, CEO Gympass UK&IE. “The challenges facing AIB were swiftly overcome by our business model and we are confident of supporting all its employees wherever they are located and whether working from home, in the office or in-branch.”
