Great British Bake Off

Something for the weekend: Big House Experience has begun its search for a legend in the baking to watch The Great British Bake Off, eat cakes and get paid for the privilege.

To officially declare which baked good is the best, the experience business is looking to hire someone to carry out a taste test while enjoying the latest series of the show, which returns to our screens this month. This could be the dream job for those who think they are the zest at knowing Victoria Sponges from lemon drizzles.

If you think you have what it bakes and possess a refined palette, then all you need to do is fill out a form explaining why you should be chew-sen for the role.

The successful applicant will receive a £400 salary plus £100 to purchase the baked goods. In return, they will be expected to watch each episode of the new series of The Great British Bake Off, while tasting and rating each baked good and reporting back their findings.

Cakes and bakes that need reviewing are a Victoria sponge, scones, Welsh cakes, shortbread, pasties, crumpets, sticky toffee pudding, Eccles cake, a Bakewell tart, a Chelsea bun, sausage rolls and pork pies.

Job requirements include having access to a TV or streaming device to watch the Great British Bake Off, the ability to purchase the baked goods or ingredients to make the treats from a shop, a sweet tooth, and an obsession with all things quintessentially British.

This seems like a sweet deal to us at Employee Benefits. Getting paid to watch Great British Bake Off and test baked goods sounds like a piece of cake!
