Private healthcare provider Bupa and employee benefits provider Vivup have been shortlisted in the category Best Supplier to Work For at the Employee Benefits Awards 2023.
This award was created to recognise an organisation that uses its benefits package to position itself as an attractive employer beyond offering its own products and services to its workforce. It is only open to internal HR teams of employee benefits providers, suppliers, advisers and consultants.
The full category shortlist is:
- Bupa
- Novuna, which trades under the name Mitsubishi HC Capital UK
- Sodexo Engage
- Vivup
In 2022, Benenden Health won the award due to its new online benefits platform and the introduction of a range of flexible benefits to enable employees to tailor their benefits package to suit their lifestyle. These ranged from health assessments, buying and selling annual leave and time off for volunteering. Initiatives such as online wellbeing classes and time off for a wellbeing day increased productivity and alleviated presenteeism among its workforce.
A Benenden Health spokesperson said: “It’s so exciting to be nominated and then to win as well. I’m really proud to work for Benenden Health. We have done so much to support our employees, not just through the pandemic, but continually supporting them with health and wellbeing, work-life balance, mental health, and just to be recognised for all that we do as an employer is fantastic.”
The Employee Benefits Awards, now in its 21st year, recognise those driving excellence through their reward and benefits strategies.
The daytime event, which will be held at the Honourable Artillery Company, London on Friday 23 June, will include a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and the chance to network with industry professionals. The after-party will feature live music, dodgems, a carousel and a big wheel in the venue’s private grounds.
