Winner: Hymans Robertson LLP

Scheme: Flex@Hymans

The judges for this award were looking for an employer with 1,000 employees or fewer that has made delivering benefits through a flexible benefits plan effective in its organisation.

This is a plan that operates with a set enrolment period in which employees select benefits for a defined period, for example the following quarter or year.

The benefits offered through Hymans Robertson’s plan include a number of innovative or unusual offerings, such as a sabbatical bank scheme. The judges praised the solid strategy behind the scheme. They were impressed with the plan’s self-funding nature and its clear link with employee turnover.

The judges said: “[This scheme had] some innovative features and some really great and well-thought-through offerings for employees. The continual development of the reward package through the flex plan really struck me.”

The winner said: “We continuously developed the offering to make it as flexible and relevant to employees as we could.”
