Food and drink organisation Nestlé has agreed a 3.9% pay rise for 1,200 employees.
The workers, who are members of trade union Unite, are based at Nestlé’s sites in Buxton, Carlisle, Halifax, Tutbury and York. They voted to accept the offer following pay talks.
The one-year pay deal will be backdated to April 2026.
Pat Mcilvogue, national officer for food, drink and agriculture at Unite, said: “This deal is another example of why food, drink and agriculture workers looking for a better deal at work should join Unite and organise their colleagues to join too.”
Nestlé was contacted for comment prior to publication.
The benefits offered by Nestlé UK and Ireland include a range of health and wellbeing programmes, including health checks, access to confidential counsellors, and a minimum of 18 weeks’ paid parental leave for the primary caregiver.
