E.On has received the menopause-friendly employer accreditation as recognition of its support for employees going through menopause.

The energy firm was awarded the accreditation by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, which recognises inclusive employers that have introduced menopause support practices.

In meeting standards of the accreditation, E.On demonstrated its dedication to promoting awareness, providing education and offering practical support to employees that experience menopause. This includes its employee-led inclusion network, Menopause Matters.

The accreditation process evaluates employers across the five key areas of culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment.

E.On’s support for its employees includes providing training to raise awareness among employees and managers, and reviewed and enhanced its policies to ensure that they are fully inclusive of the needs of menopausal employees.

Kirin Kalsi, director of legal compliance and general counsel, and Menopause Matters lead sponsor at E.On, said: “Achieving this accreditation reflects our ongoing dedication to creating an inclusive workplace and the dedication of all [employees] who have supported our activities. By raising awareness and making meaningful changes, we can ensure that all employees feel supported through every stage of their careers. This is not just about meeting standards, but about genuinely improving the wellbeing and experience of our people.”
