Insurance provider Hastings Direct has hosted its annual wellbeing festival, designed to bring employees together to learn about available wellbeing support and benefits.
This year’s theme for its Wellfest event was Health. Life. You. The organisation held two events in its Bexhill, East Sussex and Leicester offices. Its aim was to highlight a holistic approach to boosting employee wellbeing, celebrate health and happiness, and promote a balanced, healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
The events gave Hastings Direct’s employees an opportunity to find out what its wellbeing programme has to offer and take part in wellbeing activities. They were also able to access expert guidance, support, and inspiration to help them prioritise their mental and physical wellbeing, with Hastings Direct’s more than 100 wellbeing champions and mental health first aiders on hand to support.
As well as meeting wellbeing providers, such as Thrive, Nudge and Holding Space charity, employees were also able to have free health checks with the NHS Diabetes and blood pressure teams, free hand massages, Reiki, and access to a glitter station and fish and chips.
Mark Winterflood, wellbeing manager at Hastings Direct, said: “Wellfest is a celebration of health and happiness, which gives our employees the opportunity to find out more about our wellbeing programme, the support and resources available and inspiration to help them prioritise their mental and physical wellbeing. From mindfulness sessions to fitness workshops, to connecting with wellbeing providers, the event connected like-minded individuals and culture of care and positivity.”
Hastings Direct also offers health and dental care plans, life cover, group income protection, a digital GP service, a bikes-for-work scheme, a TechScheme, discounts and cashback with local and national retailers, discounted Hastings Direct products, a free will-writing service, an annual bonus scheme, the opportunity to buy and sell up to five annual leave days each year, and flexible hours.
