Capricorn Financial Consultancy hires head of people

Capricorn Financial Consultancy has appointed Lynnette Scott (pictured) as head of people, as part of its strategic plan to maintain its year-on-year 30% growth.

Scott will partner with newly appointed chief commercial officer Jeremy Law and eight advisory team leaders to continue growing the advisory base from 65 advisers to more than 90 within a year. Her role will encompass recruitment, training and development, talent retention, streamlining internal procedures and organisational design.

She will support the UK head office in London and international offices in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as the United Arab Emirates office as it opens in the coming months.

Scott previously held the position of human resources business partner at Tysers, where during her tenure she oversaw the more than doubling of headcount from 450 to 1,100. Her other experiences include HR administrator at St John Ambulance.

Scott said: “I’m delighted to join Capricorn to bolster its training and recruitment efforts. The firm’s ambitious growth plans were a huge pull factor, I cannot wait to play a part in making them a reality.”

Conor Murphy, chief executive officer and founder of Capricorn Financial Consultancy, added: “I’m thrilled to welcome Lynnette to our growing team. Her experience developing and expanding teams will be a significant asset to the firm as it enters its next growth phase. Capricorn has always believed in promoting from within, with a huge emphasis on training and development. The appointment of Lynnette represents a further commitment to this philosophy.”
