The Royal Household looks to recruit experienced personal assistant

Queen looking for a personal assistant to manage diaries and draft letters

Something for the weekend: Experienced personal assistants (PA) across the land are being given the opportunity to work at Buckingham Palace, as PA to the Royal Household.

Her Majesty the Queen and The Royal Household are on the hunt for a talented personal assistant on a two-year fixed-term contract to deliver tasks to the highest standard as a member of the central support team in the private secretary’s office.

The experienced candidate must have superb communication and organisational skills, with the role involving tasks such as prioritising and managing multiple meetings, diary organisation, drafting letters, and inbox management. The ambitious PA will be paid up to £35,000 (dependent on experience) for their work and will be asked to travel as required.

According to the job advert, with the right skills, the new recurit can quickly become a trusted and indispensable member of the team.

The job advert states: “[The job role] is about feeling inspired to deliver to the very highest standards, and supporting The Royal Family in their official duties. This is what makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.”

Here at Employee Benefits, we wonder if walking the royal corgis is also a fun part of the role….
