EXCLUSIVE: Easyjet will discuss communication strategies for organisations with a mobile or dispersed employee base at Employee Benefits Live 2016.
Ken Lawrie (pictured), head of reward at Easyjet, will present the session entitled ‘Communication strategies for a mobile/dispersed workforce’, which will open the communications conference stream on Tuesday 11 October.
Lawrie will provide a case study on the strategy Easyjet developed to communicate changes to the organisation’s pension scheme in 2015. He will demonstrate why it is important that organisations empower staff to make their own decisions around benefits such as pensions. Easyjet won the award for Best pensions communications at the Employee Benefits Awards 2016.
During the session, Lawrie will also highlight the importance of presenting a positive outlook when communicating difficult and complex messages.
Lawrie said: “We have a very mobile and very dispersed workforce with most of our people at 30,000 feet during their working day, so we have to work that much harder at getting messages across.
“I hope [those attending the session] will take away an insight into how we have communicated in case it is of use to them in their own situations.”
Employee Benefits Live 2016 will take place on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 October at Olympia National, London. Register to attend for free and view the full conference programme
