Auto Trader has reported an 18% mean ethnicity pay gap for 2024, up from 15.5% in 2023.
Its median ethnicity pay gap was 19.8%, up from 15.6% the year prior. Meanwhile, its mean ethnicity bonus gap for the year was 50.7%, down from 56.3%, and its median ethnicoty bonus gap was -173%, compared to 0 in 2023. A total of 1.9% of ethnically diverse and 6.1% of white staff received a bonus this year.
The organisation’s mean hourly gender pay gap for 2024 was 9.6%, down slightly from 9.8% in 2023, and its median hourly gender pay gap stood at 14.9%, a slight decrease from 15.6% the previous year. Its mean gender bonus gap was 14.7, up from 4.9% in 2023, and its median gender bonus gap was 56.4%, up from 0 in 2023, linked to employees exercising share plans. A total 6.2% of women and 5.5% of men received a bonus this year.
Auto Trader has additionally published its disability pay gap for the first time. Its mean disability pay gap for 2024 was 5.9% and its median disability pay gap was 1.9%; 16.8% of its workforce disclosed that they had a disability. Its lower pay quartile this year consisted of 14.4% of disabled and 85.6% of non-disabled employees, while its upper pay quartile comprised 14.3% and 85.7% respectively.
