Creative agency Waste Creative has introduced a work-from-anywhere policy to enable its more than 75 full and part-time staff to work from any location for up to four weeks per year.
Any of its employees who have passed their probationary period can submit a request to work from anywhere in the world.
According to the London-headquartered agency, the initiative is intended to recognise the way in which the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic has transformed its employees’ ways of working. It is also part of a reinvention of its benefits and working practices as it looks to challenge norms.
Additionally, the agency has introduced several other new benefits for its staff since its acquisition by Keywords Studios in December 2021, including life assurance and income protection.
Mike Petricevic, co-founder and creative partner at Waste Creative, said: “As we begin to move out of the pandemic and into a new way of working, it’s essential that we continue to review our benefits and ensure they are fit for purpose, reflecting how life is lived right now. Our people have challenging the norm in their job description, and we knew that many were wondering why they couldn’t work from anywhere in the world, given the fact that remote working has now become so commonplace.
“So, it made sense to give this new policy a try. Offering the team the chance to work from any location gives them more flexibility and a sense of freedom and agency. Plus, travel and new experiences are powerful tools to feed their creativity.”
