Waste recycling company NWH Group has promoted Rhys Donaldson to the role of HR manager.
Donaldson initially joined NWH Group in 2017 as a recruitment consultant, with his role rapidly expanding by 2018 to include HR responsibilities.
In his new role Donaldson will be responsible for engaging with employees across the business, increasing the number of apprenticeships available, recruiting and promoting from within, supporting external scholarships, and growing entrepreneurial talent through knowledge and training schemes.
Ricky Ray, HR and compliance director, said: “Rhys has been a great addition to the team from the beginning, grasping the opportunities to learn the business and understand our people. I’m delighted that his hard work and dedication to NWH has been recognised with this promotion."
During his time at NWH Group, Donaldson has gained a level 5 CIPD qualification in Human Resource Management, funded and supported by the Midlothian-based family business, adding to his Masters degree in Business Management.
Donaldson said: “I am delighted to have been offered this opportunity to manage the HR function at a fantastic family-run business, and I look forward to being part of the exciting growth plans that NWH has in the coming years."
