Insurance organisation Allianz Worldwide Partners has hosted its third Learning at Work Week, providing its 550 UK-based employees with access to activities designed to enhance their personal and professional development.
Over the course of the week, employees were able to take part in creative activities such as Latin dance lessons, a craft workshop, a biscuit-icing masterclass, and a hip-hop dance session.
Wellbeing activities such as manicures, hypnotherapy, reflexology, massages, and meditation were also available for staff to enjoy, as well as health checks and first aid training.
Lunchtime talks enabled staff to learn about topics such as money management, body building and nutrition. The organisation’s charity partner, the London Air Ambulance, also came on-site to speak to staff about the work the charity performs. Employees also took part in career coaching and car maintenance sessions.
The week, which took place in May 2017, had a curious and creative theme, designed to inspire more employers to support workplace learning for staff.
Serge Corel (pictured), chief executive officer at Allianz Worldwide Partners in the UK and Ireland, said: “Learning at Work Week offers a great opportunity to inspire employees and reward them for their year-round hard work and commitment. This year’s event was our most successful yet and we are confident that the week will become a firm fixture on our calendar.
“We understand the benefits of creating a happy, engaging workplace and Learning at Work Week allows us to focus on personal development in a way that’s fun and informative whilst helping to recharge our batteries and bring the team together.”
