Global advertising agency Mother has named Alex Morris-Platt as its first chief people officer as part of its goal of being considered one of the best places in the world to work.
In the newly created role, Morris-Platt will lead the people and talent teams to deliver innovative and responsive programmes, with the overall aim to attract, grow and retain the world’s best creative talent. She will ensure decisions are made with the agency’s people in mind to create the conditions that enable everyone to produce the best work they can.
Within the agency’s ‘Make our Children Proud’ mission, Morris-Platt will be responsible for delivering the talent and people-focused pillars which include ‘Homegrown’ for progressive learning and development, ‘Make Yourself at Home’ for people policies and practices, and elements of ‘Kindred’ Mother’s global diversity, equity and inclusion programme.
She joins from London-based advertising agency TBWA UK, where she held the position of group people director for seven years and was responsible for its full range of people functions.
Morris-Platt said: “Throughout my conversations with Katie, Rollo and the team, it has been comforting to find we share many of the same beliefs.
