Caravan and Motorhome Club has switched pension arrangements for its workforce.
It has transferred more than 1,100 members to a group flexible retirement plan, which is a group personal pension (GPP) plan provided by Standard Life, part of Phoenix Group.
The club views communication as key to employee engagement and experience around the new scheme because it has a predominantly remote workforce. Consequently, the scheme is designed to give members control, flexibility and a range of investment choices over their pension.
Its previously offered a GPP from a different pensions provider.
The club appointed Standard Life following a competitive request for proposals with Foster Denovo Secondsight advising. The selection process included an on-site visit to Standard Life’s Edinburgh head office.
Sarah Reynolds, pensions manager at Caravan and Motorhome Club, said: “Introducing a new pension provider to employees comes with high stakes, with a successful transition setting the tone for things to come. The importance of getting it right for our organisation can’t be underestimated.
“The team at Standard Life lived up to its promises, exceeding our expectations with the implementation going extremely smoothly due in no small measure to the wraparound support it put in place. We could not have been more impressed with how [it] delivered the transition, including the bulk transfer of assets.”
