Tandem Bank has partnered with Henpicked as part of its commitment to providing menopause support for its employees.

The partnership highlights Tandem Banks’s aim of providing an inclusive and supportive workplace by raising awareness, removing any stigma and educating employees about menopause and menstrual health.

In addition to demonstrating its commitment to being a menstruation and menopause-friendly employer, Tandem has begun implementing new initiatives to strengthen this support, which include the introduction of menopause champions to provide peer support; the development of an internal menopause support hub; and development of Tandem’s HR policies and frameworks to ensure clear and consistent support for employees and managers.

Its partnership with Henpicked aligns with Tandem’s ambition to improve gender representation and to be an inclusive employer. It has signed HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter and has set a target for at least 35% of senior leadership roles to be held by women by the end of 2026.

The bank ensures gender-balanced shortlists for senior roles, has launched gender balance, and working parents and carers affinity groups, and invests in its Women in Leadership Programme.

It also offers a hybrid and flexible working model in order to open opportunities for working parents and carers with a more diverse talent pool.

Catherine Diamond, chief people officer at Tandem Bank, said: “Partnering with Henpicked marks another important milestone in our journey to be an inclusive employer. We believe every stage of life matters and want all employees to feel heard, supported, confident, and understood.

“We’ll be rolling out training to support management with the knowledge and confidence to support their teams effectively and with empathy. But the partnership will also be relevant for everyone at Tandem; greater understanding helps us all to be more compassionate colleagues and people. Henpicked will help strengthen our infrastructure, policies, and awareness that ensure no one at Tandem has to face these experiences alone or in silence, and that we are a truly great place to work.”
