JCDecaux and Reiss have introduced a pregnancy loss friendly workplace package for its UK employees.
Through a collaboration with We Seek Care, employees at both organisations are supported with at home digital care plans, which contain an evidence-based toolbox of aftercare techniques for mental and physical health recovery following pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, abortion, failed IVF or still birth. It aims to fill any gaps in clinic and hospital care.
Bespoke to each employer, the support package includes an easy-to-access, at-home digital care solution that helps employees feel more seen in their experience, supported to return to work with more resilience, and able to recover effectively. It also aims to ensure managers and HR possess practical insights, tools, resources and solutions to support and improve wellbeing.
The two employers can access educational infographics and adaptable communications for raising awareness around pregnancy loss in the workplace, a 60-minute webinar on the reality of pregnancy loss, fertility and grief, and HR and line manager training on handling the conversation and recognising signs of wellbeing distress, which more than 50 JCDecaux staff have taken advantage of.
They can also access a toolkit of resources and best practice, and one consultation call to review policies and offer recommendations.
Andrew Purcell, people business partner at JCDecaux, said: “We Seek Care delivered an incredibly thoughtful and impactful training session for our leaders on supporting employees through baby loss. The session was expertly facilitated, striking the perfect balance between education and compassion, and created a safe space for open discussion, helping leaders feel confident in navigating such a sensitive topic.
“JCDecaux has found We Seek Care to be knowledgeable, and deeply attuned to the real challenges people face in the workplace. The service that they provide is so vital and is a must for any employers who truly care for their employees.”
